The amount of melt extrusion is determined by the speed of the metering pump. Under the same conditions, the faster the metering pump rotates, the greater the amount of melt extrusion. When the speed of the mesh belt is the same, the larger the melt extrusion amount, the larger the product gram weight, and the anti-hydrostatic pressure and air permeability of the SMMS product will change accordingly. Due to the limited experimental conditions, this experiment only changed the speed of the metering pump of the C head (the four nozzles of the SMMS correspond to ABCD). Through the experiment, it can be obtained that when the air volume is constant, the speed of the metering pump should not be too fast, and the quality should be guaranteed while the product output is guaranteed. Manufacturers can set the C-head metering pump speed at 32~35rpm to meet the requirements of anti-hydrostatic pressure (>35mbr) and air permeability (>45cfm), and their products can be used as general protective clothing.

Through experiments, it can be obtained that the anti-hydrostatic pressure capability of the base fabric increases with the increase of the hot air volume. When the air volume reaches 2800 cubic meters/h, the anti-hydrostatic pressure capability is the strongest. The water pressure capacity decreases instead. When the air volume is 2800 cubic meters/h, the air permeability is the smallest. The rising and falling trend of the air permeability curve is just opposite to that of the anti-hydrostatic pressure curve. Therefore, for the manufacturer, the hot air volume can be controlled at 2800 cubic meters/h to meet the requirements of hydrostatic pressure resistance (>5mbr) and air permeability (>45elm) at the same time.

A. The gram weight is an important factor affecting the anti-hydrostatic pressure and air permeability of the product, and the speed of the metering pump and the speed of the conveying curtain together determine the size of the gram weight. It is appropriate to set the speed of the C-head metering pump between 32 and 35 rpm while maintaining the speed of the net curtain at 175m/min.
